And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-12)

Welcome to our homepage for the Work and Life! Christian Conference (WLCC)!

The Work and Life! Christian Conference is an annual nonprofit/non-denominational Christian conference and ministry.

Our mission
is to utilize Christian marketplace leaders and resources to bring workplace believers and nonbelievers closer to Jesus Christ.

Our prayer is that it will serve as a tool to share the great news o
f the Gospel of Jesus Christ with your family, friends and co-workers.

The conference vision is to present a Christian venue for the marketplace that will minister, allow fellowship, and provide inspirational seminars to the non believer and believer.

Work and Life! Christian Conference (WLCC) was created to speak to Christians in the workforce such as librarians, teachers, government, state and city workers, stay-at-home moms and more!. The heart of this conference is generally directed towards women in the workforce who are dealing with their calling into ministry along with the confusion and indecision experienced due to God's appointment.

What is Workplace (Marketplace) Ministry?

Many people ask me, "What is workplace ministry?" I give them a brief overview of how we are all called to be ministers wherever we go but let's think about it, where do we spend most of our time? At work!

Os Hillman defines workplace ministry as "an intentional focus of equipping men and women in all spheres of work and society to understand and experience their work and life as a holy calling from God. Workplace ministry is a holistic approach to bringing Christ into our work lives such as how to experience the power of God in a workplace context so that they see a difference in us. We must return to the early foundations of the Church which focused on equipping every believer to be a minister where they are. We all work. We all need to learn what it means to take Christ's presence into our workplace."

Excerpt from WorkLifeMinistry.net

Church Based Work ministry
is when the local church decides to intentionally teach, affirm and encourage every believer that their work is a holy calling to serve God. It is a practical and applied ministry that gives believers the confidence to represent Christ in the workplace. A major goal of the ministry is to transform the worker's perspective so that they can see the workplace as a mission field and glorify God at work.

Work Life ministry is focused on edifying your members where they work and helping them see that their WHOLE life matters to God. Imagine the church involved in members lives, not just on Sunday, but all SEVEN days of the week!

"The 9 to 5 window in the American workplace is perhaps the greatest evangelistic opportunity that exists for churches in America today. Mobilizing and encouraging workplace ministry in your church will result in a passionate engagement of people in ministry that may have felt excluded in the past. I challenge you to connect with Doug Spada and find out how HCAW, a non-profit ministry, can help serve you and your church."

Dr. Dwight "Ike" Reighard, Senior Pastor, Piedmont Church, Marietta GA
Former Chief People Officer, HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation
